Carl-Ardy Dubois, Full Professor and Director of the Department of Health Management, Evaluation and Policy at the École de santé publique de l'Université de Montréal (ESPUM), CIRANO Researcher, will become Dean of ESPUM for a term beginning January 1, 2021 and ending May 31, 2026.
Carl-Ardy Dubois holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from the Université de Montréal and did graduate studies in Health Services Administration. He also has a doctorate in medicine and training in epidemiology and statistics. He did his postdoctoral studies in the United Kingdom, at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, in collaboration with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. He is also affiliated with the Centre de recherche en santé publique (CReSP), the Centre de recherche Interactions du CIUSSS du Nord-de-l'Île-de-Montréal and the Réseau de recherche en interventions en sciences infirmières du Québec (RRISIQ). Before joining the ESPUM team, he was a professor at the Faculty of Nursing at the Université de Montréal. For 12 years, as a research fellow at the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS), he conducted a research program on the analysis of health services organization models, health human resources management and health services performance evaluation. He is currently pursuing several projects in the same fields. His contributions have been recognized, among others, by the Peter Reizensten Prize, which the International Society for Quality in Health Care awarded him in 2014.

Each year, ESPUM welcomes more than 900 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs covering all public health disciplines.
