CIRANO was pleased to welcome the Association of Former Quebec Delegates to its Montréal premises for the launch of a hybrid conference dedicated to trade resilience, market diversification, and Quebec’s international positioning.
The event offered an opportunity to present the economic digital twin of the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence corridor, developed by CIRANO’s GVCdtLab. This innovative tool enables an integrated analysis of trade flows, transport corridors, and value chains, going beyond traditional national boundaries.
On this occasion, Thierry Warin, Full Professor at HEC Montréal, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, and Head of the CIRANO Data Science Pole for Trade and Intermodal Transportation, presented key insights from the GVCdtLab’s work, contributing to discussions on current international trade dynamics.
CIRANO thanks Mr. Michel Robitaille, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Centre de la francophonie des Amériques, for organizing the event, as well as Thierry Warin and the GVCdtLab team for the quality of the presentation and discussions.
