As part of its 2018-2025 biofood policy, the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) organized the 5th annual partners' meeting on May 30, 2024 on the theme “Setting the table for the future”.
Maurice Doyon (Université Laval), Researcher and CIRANO Fellow presented the 2018-2023 review of the Politique bioalimentaire objectives with Marie-Ève Gaboury-Bonhomme, Professor in the Department of Agri-Food Economics and Consumer Sciences. Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin (Polytechnique Montréal), President and CEO of CIRANO, took part in a panel discussion on the future of biofood in the presence of André Lamontagne, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
The event provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges of the future, and to express an opinion on the orientations of the next biofood policy. Ingrid Peignier, CIRANO's Senior Director of Partnerships and Research Valorization, and Elisabeth Viau, a doctoral student at Polytechnique Montréal, attended the event.
