As every year, CIRANO researchers were well represented at the annual conferences of economists in Quebec. At the ASDEQ conference in Montreal, Geneviève Dufour (CIRANO) moderated the workshop Économie du Québec : Mythe ou réalité, Pierre-Carl Michaud (HEC Montréal) was a panelist at the workshop Réfléchir le long terme : rôle et outils de l'économiste and Marie Connolly (ESG-UQAM) was a panelist at the workshop L'éducation et la santé : deux pilliers pour tout projet de société, alongside Joanne Castonguay, Commissaire à la santé et au bien-être and Miville Tremblay (CIRANO Invited Fellow).

The Société canadienne de sciences économiques conference, also in Montreal, highlighted the exceptional contributions of Marcel Boyer (Université de Montréal) and Bernard Fortin (Université Laval) with a tribute lecture.
Pierre-Carl Michaud (HEC Montréal) was the designated president and conference leader. Other CIRANO researchers were in attendance, many as members of the scientific committee including Christian Belzil (École Polytechnique Paris), Raquel Fonseca (ESG UQAM), Robert Lacroix (Université de Montréal), Florian Mayneris (ESG UQAM), Kevin Moran (Université Laval), Sophie Osotimehin (ESG UQAM), Daniel Parent (HEC Montréal) and Charles Bellemare (Université Laval).
