The annual conference is the flagship event of the Canadian Economics Association.
This year, a special session is organized to mark the 30th anniversary of CIRANO. The round table moderated by Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin will bring together three CIRANO Fellows to discuss how economic expertise can influence policies: Marie Connolly, Kevin Moran and Dalibor Stevanovic .
Three researchers from outside Quebec will also participate in this panel to discuss how their own research has informed the development and evaluation of economic and public policies in provinces other than Quebec or at the federal level: Jeremy M. Kronick, Associate Vice President at the C.D. Howe Institute, Arthur Sweetman, professor at McMaster University and holder of the Ontario Research Chair in Health Human Resources, and Tammy Schirle, professor at Wilfrid Laurier University.
