In the context of healthcare administration in France, Morocco and Quebec, there is a great deal of interest in the classification of diagnoses into homogeneous groups, known as diagnosis related group (DRG). For budgetary management purposes, the DRG is a classification of groups containing pathologies of the same nature and treatments equivalent in cost and length of hospitalization. Tarification à l'activité, known as T2A in France and "patient-centered financing" in Quebec, is another healthcare financial management method for which there is growing interest.
This webinar, co-organized by CIRANO, the Unité de Santé Internationale (USI) of the Université de Montréal and the École de santé publique de l'Université de Montréal (ESPUM), provided an opportunity to learn more about these management systems and how they are applied, particularly in the context of the implementation of fee-for-service in Quebec. Dr. Philippe Michel and Dr. Houcine Akhnif, specialists in this field, will present their work and reflections. The webinar was moderated by Roxane Borgès Da Silva (Université de Montréal and CIRANO).
This event was held in French.
