The Grand rendez-vous de l'innovation québécoise was the culmination of the consultations held in recent months on the next Quebec research and innovation strategy.
As part of this event, CIRANO and the CPMT organized the Workforce and Talent Forum, a morning of reflection and work on November 19, 2021 to define elements of action plans to stimulate innovation.
This forum was divided into three subgroups:
→ STIM initial training and digital skills, collaboration between educational institutions, companies and public organizations
Moderated by Nathalie De Marcellis-Warin, professor at Polytechnique, CIRANO CEO, researcher and Fellow and Bernard Tremblay, CEO of the Fédération des cégeps
→ Innovation and labor scarcity: Skills upgrading and requalification to the rescue
Moderated by Geneviève Dufour, Director of Projects CIRANO and Audrey Murray, President of the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT)
→ Attracting and retaining talent in a context of labour shortage
Moderated by Mia Homsy, CEO of the Institut du Québec (IDQ) and Emma Braham, Assistant Director of the Institut du Québec (IDQ).
