A CIRANO Associate Researcher and Fello since 2006, Martial Foucault is Full Professor of Political Science at Sciences Po Paris. He is also Director of the CEVIPOF (CNRS) and Associate Researcher within the Laboratoire interdisciplinaire d'évaluation des politiques publiques (LIEPP). He is also Associate Editor of the journal French Politics and Director of the series Fait Politique (Presses de Sciences Po).

Holding a Ph.D. in Economics at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University Paris 1, his research interests range from political economy to political behavior, without neglecting public policies, fiscal policies, and statistical methods.

He spent one year (2005/06) at the European University Institute in Florence as Research Post-doc Fellow. Between 2006 and 2013, he was Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Université de Montréal. Between 2011 and 2013, he was Director of the European Union Center of Excellence (Université de Montréal/McGill University).
