Biography

A CIRANO Associate Researcher and Fellow since 1999, Louis Lévy-Garboua is Emeritus Professor at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University Paris 1 and at the Paris School of Economics and research fellow at the Centre d'économie de la Sorbonne (CES, Paris). He is the Founding Director of the Master program "Economics and Psychology" jointly delivered by Pantheon-Sorbonne and Paris Descartes universities.

His research interests cover applied microeconomics, with special attention to behavioral and experimental economics, the theory of choice under risk and uncertainty, education and cultural economics.

He has maintained an active collaboration with Claude Montmarquette since 1988 and published twelve articles with him in all those domains of interest.

Louis Lévy-Garboua was made a Knight of the National Order of Merit in 1995.
