A successful launch of the Carrefour de science des données et de transfert de connaissances pour le commerce et le transport intermodal dans le Corridor Saint-Laurent-Grands Lacs on March 21, 2024, in the presence of partners CIRRELT, IVADO, HEC Montréal, ESG-UQAM, UQAR and Polytechnique Montréal, as well as collaborating organizations: SODES, Innovation maritime, Ministère des Relations internationales et de la francophonie (MRIF) and Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie (MEIE).
This initiative was made possible thanks to the involvement of the researchers on its scientific committee: Thierry Warin (CIRANO, HEC), Martin Trépanier (CIRRELT, Polytechnique Montréal), Julien Martin (CIRANO, ESG-UQAM) and Loubna Benabbou (CIRRELT, UQAR).
Using advanced data science techniques, the Carrefour will offer a new perspective on understanding the economic impacts of fragile supply chains in the St. Lawrence-Great Lakes corridor. The vision, methodology, concepts and team involved in implementing the digital twin are outlined on the new website GVCdtLab, which hosts our data platform called SLGL dataHub. For more information

Thursday, April 18, 2024

Quebec and Canada are not excluded from this demographic trend and several public reports demonstrate the need to examine the coverage, generosity, and costs of these programs to better plan for the years to come.
This event is organized by Marie-Louise Leroux (UQAM, CIRANO) and Patrik Marier (Concordia University), in collaboration with CREEI, CREGÉS, FRQSC, the RSI, ESG UQAM, Concordia University and CIRANO.
It will bring together numerous world-renowned researchers in political science, economics, and sociology, aiming to take stock of the major questions linked to the issues around loss of autonomy, stimulate discussion on these societal issues, and provide possible answers. |
