Launch of the second part of the «En avant math!» initiative |
For the past three years, En avant math! has helped identify solutions to ensure the development of a highly qualified workforce in applied mathematics and to promote a better match between the skills of individuals and the needs of the labour market, particularly in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) sectors. On the occasion of the launch of the second phase of the "En avant math!" partnership on September 27, 2022, CIRANO and the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM) presented the results of a dozen research projects carried out as well as initiatives in the field to promote mathematics. This conference was an opportunity to exchange with representatives members from the various ministries: the Ministère des Finances du Québec, the Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec, the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur and the Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi, et de la Solidarité sociale. This second component of the partnership will support the development of a highly skilled mathematics workforce and identify solutions for public policy makers.
En avant math! is financially supported by the Government of Quebec. → More information and resources
