Economic Recovery and Food Autonomy

Mr. André Lamontagne, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, will be present live and will give a conference on food autonomy and Quebec's bio-food policy.
This event will mark the publication of a report written by a group of CIRANO researchers who draw a portrait of the challenges facing the biofood sector and proposes solutions or levers of action to be favored to respond to them and to boost the economy.
This event will also be an opportunity to showcase the collaboration between CIRANO researchers and government to support evidence-based decision making and public policy development.

On February 26, a special day was organized on the theme of "Circular Economy, Resources and Geopolitics". This event was part of CIRANO's major theme "Sustainable Development and Agri-Food" and was led by several CIRANO Researchers: Sophie Bernard (Polytechnique Montréal), Justin Leroux (HEC Montréal), Ngo Van Long (McGill University), Martino Pelli (Université de Sherbrooke) and Charles Séguin (UQAM).

Human Resources Forum: The Transformation of Workplaces
|
|
On February 24, CIRANO, in collaboration with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Ordre des Conseillers en ressources humaines (CRHA), invited its partners to an exclusive Human Resources Forum on the theme of "The Transformation of Workplaces". For the first meeting, a roundtable discussion with participants (organizations) took place so that they could speak about their main issues and initiatives on this theme.

Bourstad Webinars
|
|
As part of the 34th edition of the Bourstad Challenge, CIRANO is organizing a series of webinars to further support the participants and their teachers. Three webinars took place on February 15, February 22 and March 11, with the participation of Miville Tremblay (Invited Fellow at CIRANO), Ian Gascon (Placements Idema) and Sounda Ladouceur (National Bank Financial), and Robert Normad (CIRANO). More than 200 people attended.
